I took the plunge and bought the supplied by lily desk planner in the floral print. And it’s the best student planner on the market!
The planner is simple and esthetically pleasing and has so many amazing details. Not only does it have a weekly view, but it also has a semester view and a monthly view. Of course it also has some fun quotes to make things interesting.
You can watch a video of the planner here
How I use my planner
The semester view is my life saver. To me it’s very important to see my classes and the credits. Because I feel like credits actually are the best time management tools out there. In Belgium every credit is about 30 hours of work including classes so a class that’s 9 credits needs more work than a class that’s 3 (this is relative of course). And this is very true because the books and lectures are made to fit the amount of hours available. I do not sit and count how many hours I have spent on each class but it helps me to priorities.
The monthly view let’s me write everything that is happening that month so it doesn’t really clutter my weeks and I can plan it advance. Most desk planners don’t have a monthly view and I realized how much I actually missed that.
The weekly view is where the planner shines. It not only has a day to day list but also a to do work, a to do study and a deadline list. If you have a blog the to do work section is so useful and easy to work with
The planner is almost 17 euros with is a great price. Shipping is around 5 euros though with is a lot in my opinion because I live in Belgium and its just coming from The Netherlands. But it’s international shipping so it’s understoodable
Would I buy it again?
Yes, I think it’s perfect for every student and I really think it’s helping me to stay organized.
